🚿 shower room 🚿 Customer has three toilets in th 🚿 shower room 🚿 Customer has three toilets in their two bed house and didn’t need the third one. They decided to remove the toilet and the basin and utilise the room more. The shower tray was flimsy, poky and the wanted a nice shower in a big cubicle. So we got rid of the electric shower, installed one off the combi boiler, installed a stone resin 800 x 1600 shower tray on the floor. Multi panelled the walls, installed a Bristan Buzz2 dual shower, a 700 fixed glass with a 300 flipper panel.
🚿 Bath to shower 🚿 The customer was starting to 🚿 Bath to shower 🚿 The customer was starting to struggle to get into their bath and wanted a shower tray installed for ease of getting in and out to wash. This one was a tight one, the only place to install a shower tray is by the door and it fitted to the mm. We changed the layout of the bathroom and it works a lot better. We’ve installed a shower tray on the floor, a grab handle so they don’t fall over, shower boarded all the walls so less upkeep for them, installed a new chrome towel radiator, vanity toilet and basin and lino the floor. The bathroom looks a lot more modern now and is more practical for the customer. (Before people say about the toilet being off centre) - the customer wanted it moved over to the left so has more room to dry herself.
🛁 Bath upgrade 🛁 Customer wanted to upgrade the 🛁 Bath upgrade 🛁 Customer wanted to upgrade the pokey roll top bath and have a more practical bath for bathing and showering. We reminded the bath and wall panelling, chased the shower pipes into the wall, first fixed the pipes for the bath. Core drilled a new extractor hole and moved the fan over, installed a 1700 x 800 Carron bath. Tiled the walls, grouted the walls, tiled the bath panel installed a dual thermostatic bar valve shower that matches the taps and the bath waste. This one threw us a lot of challenges along the way but we overcome them and the customer was over the moon with how it turned out, all in time for their new arrival too.
🔥 System Conversion 🔥 Customers Ideal W200 finall 🔥 System Conversion 🔥 Customers Ideal W200 finally gave up the fight. After having a good innings it was time to install a more efficient system. We gave the customer two options and they decided to have system conversion instead of just renewing the boiler. We removed the hot water cylinder, the noisy shower pump and all the redundant pipework. We installed a dual fuel towel radiator in the airing cupboard so clothes could still be dried. We installed a Worcester 4000 combi, core drilled a new flue hole, patched up the old hole, thorough flushed the system and the customer has a new efficient system.
💧 Shower Cubicle 💧 The customer was having an ai 💧 Shower Cubicle 💧 The customer was having an air source heat pump and unvented cylinder installed, (by a different contractor) and the only place it could go was the downstairs bathroom. They decided to remove the large wet room shower and install an airing cupboard and a smaller shower cubicle. The rip out uncovered some surprises with the wall being everywhere and the previous people finding every last scrap of wood to pack it out. We took it back to brickwork and we installed a false wall, reboarded the back will with plasterboard (airing cupboard and tile backer board in shower cubicle).. Dot and dabbed the left hand wall of the airing cupboard, put the partition wall with a nice niche too, tile backer board the shower cubicle. We had to self level the floor to bring it to a level surface as it was formed for a fall for the wet room, installed the 900 x 800 shower tray. Tiled the walls. Grouted the walls and we could then install the Frameless 800 door. Customer is happy that they could compromise on the space for their airing cupboard yet still have a spacious shower cubicle
🚿 En suite 🚿 Customer really didn’t like the en- 🚿 En suite 🚿 Customer really didn’t like the en-suite they had inherited when bought the house and really wanted to give it new lease of life. We removed the old suite and in doing so we discovered the floorboards were rotten and even the joist was under the shower tray. We had to install a new joist and brace it so was fully supported under the shower tray. Renewed all the floor boards, installed a concealed cistern, installed boxing flush with the existing wall, installed an @aqualisashowers smart link thermostatic shower, installed the pipework correctly in the loft for the unit, we installed the shower tray on the floor, tiled the floor, tiled the walls, we installed some ceiling UPVC panelling, renewed the downlights, renewed the extractor fan. Installed a Flair sliding door, a 500 vanity unit and a matching cupboard for storage on the wall, siliconed up and the customer was pleased with their new modern en suite #bathroomrenovation #plumbing #ensuite #transformation
🔥 system conversion 🔥 Removed the old inefficien 🔥 system conversion 🔥 Removed the old inefficient Ideal classic boiler, removed the redundant pipework in the loft, removed the hot water cylinder. Relocated the boiler into the airing cupboard, lifted a section of the floorboards up to access the pipework, core drilled new flue hole, piped up the new Worcester 4000 combi, installing flushing points for @thoroughflush , shock arrestor, scale reducer and a Worcester system filter. On every install we @thoroughflush to make sure that system water is correct. Once happy we commissioned the boiler, registered its Worcester warranties and we even patched in the old flue hole and you wouldn’t know we’ve been. We installed a Worcester 4000, we went up into the loft with the flue and out the gable end, we installed a @saniflo_uk condense pump, we installed a @hotunbyratech tundish and detect, we installed flushing points so we could do a @thoroughflush and we ran the condense up into the loft and installed correctly using @condensate_pro_uk. Finally stickered up with @stickersandthat stickers. Installed new @lawtontubes copper where needed after ripping out the old microbore pipework. Installed nice designer radiators from @apolloradiators. 🛁 Bathroom renovation 🛁 We removed the whole bath 🛁 Bathroom renovation 🛁 We removed the whole bathroom suite, renewed the chipboard flooring, chased the wall out for the concealed basin tap, dot and dabbed the walls. Installed a Grohe wall bung toilet frame in the new stud wall. Within the stud wall we had some shelves at the end to put all the little bits and bobs. We also had a niche built to house the shower gel bottles. Installed a concealed two way shower valve. Removed the radiator and installed it with smaller screws as they poked through into the bedroom, installed some radiator valves as was just isolation valves. Hardiebacker board the floor, tiled the floor, tiled the walls and the windocill. Plastered the wall right of the basin, once the plaster was dried we painted it too. Installed the bath, bath panel, wall hung vanity basin, wall hung toilet, the showers, shower screen and then the final silicone up. The peoducts we had were a @grohe_uk wall hung toilet, @lussostone Black concealed shower, lusso black concealed basin tap, lusso wall hung vanity basin and unit. Lusso black LED mirror, Elko vein cut and cross cut tiles from @toppstilestrade, @eastbrookbathrooms beauforte bath and a black overflow bath filler tap. The bathroom was in need of a revamp and it’s absolutely changed the room. 🔧 Boiler Repair 🔧 Was called for a boiler breakd 🔧 Boiler Repair 🔧 Was called for a boiler breakdown on a Worcester 28i junior, I asked if there was any fault codes on the boiler and said the blue light was flashing.. They sent me a video and I looked in the manual.. Fast Flash - Volatile lockout.. Picked up a new fan and went to replace it, upon arriving I noticed that the boiler needed more than just a fan.. The bearing plate had broken off in the fan, the burner seal had disintegrated, the spark electrodes were bad, the condense trap was chocker and the heat exchanger needed a good clean out.. We done a full strip down on it, replaced the fan, installed a new bearing plate, new spark electrodes, new gasket, sweep test, flue analysis and we were back up and running.. This is why it’s important to get your boiler serviced regularly, this boiler had missed a fair few years and this resulted in a more expensive repair than was first thought. #boilerrepairs #boilerbreakdown #heatingengineer
🔥 System conversion 🔥 Let’s just say this Baxi h 🔥 System conversion 🔥 Let’s just say this Baxi has a very good innings, we had to do a repair on it last year but it was time to come out. We removed all the pipework and cylinder in the airing cupboard, we removed the old boiler which when removed left a massive hole in the wall from the balanced flue. We blocked it up as that’s where the new flue was going to go, cored drilled new flue hole. We picked up the hot pipe from the pantry and then cold from under the floor. Upgraded the gas to 22mm, installed some flushing points so can flush the system out, shock arrestor, system filter and scale reducer. Now that the Worcester Greenstar 4000 was all piped up it was time to @thoroughflush the system and get that system water clean.. after this was all done we lagged the flow and returns pipework using @plumb.pal lagging tool. Commissioned the boiler and now the customer has a more energy efficient boiler that comes with a 8 year warranty. We removed the old British Gas 330, Installed a Worcester Greenstar 18ri, Worcester system filter, installed a Hive heating and hot water programmable room stat, installed a Aquabion, flushed the system out and cleaned the really bad f&e tank out. The customer now has a more efficient boiler, which is protected with the system filter and they have a whole house protection with the Aquabion as they live in a hard water area place. No more limescale for them!! 🚿 Bathroom revamp 🚿 Customer wanted to revamp the 🚿 Bathroom revamp 🚿 Customer wanted to revamp the bathroom and get rid of the bath. The bath had multiple leaks and this had caused the bath to drop with the flooring giving way. They wanted to get rid of the bath as they were thinking about long term and eventually struggle to get in the bath. We removed the whole bathroom, we renewed the chipboard flooring with brand new P5 glued and screwed and was solid compared to the spongy existing. We had the ceiling over boarded and plastered, New spotlights, extractor fan and a toothbrush charger installed by @deas_electrical We installed a 1700 x 800 shower tray, hardiebacker the floor, tiled the floor and installed a seperate toilet and a vanity basin. We moved the radiator to be at the end of the shower, making sure no hideous pipework was on display. Showered boarded the walls with Wet wall shower panels. Bristan Buzz dual shower. Merlyn 8mm shower glass.. Installed new skirting boards, new mirrored cabinet and was freshly decorated by @thegirlwithabrushcheltenham Massive transformation and the customer is over the moon with how it’s turned out 🤩🤩
🔥 System Conversion 🔥 This job was meant to be a 🔥 System Conversion 🔥 This job was meant to be a routine boiler service, but upon doing the service we noticed it was leaking products of combustion. I gave the customer the option of repairing the boiler or we could change the system. The boiler was 20 years old, parts were starting to break down and I explained how they could save money by converting the system to a combi as more efficient and heating up what using. They opted for the system conversion. We stripped out everything, including all the tanks in the loft. We had to lift the floorboards on the landing and the bedroom to get out hot and cold supplies. Removed redundant pipework and we removed the noisy shower pump and connected the shower feeds on to the hot and cold supplies in airing cupboard. We installed some flushing points in the airing cupboard so could do a @thoroughflush. We installed a dual fuel towel radiator in the airing cupboard so the customer still has that bit of heat in there summer or winter to air the clothes. Installed a Worcester Greenstar 8000+ combi with the system filter, shock arrestor, scale reducer. Installed a Honeywell T4R programmable room stat. We used the @plumb.pal lagging tool which I highly rate, makes lagging so much easier. 🔥 Boiler Relocation 🔥 The existing boiler was in 🔥 Boiler Relocation 🔥 The existing boiler was in their sons room and they wanted it out and relocated. The best location was the loft. We removed the existing boiler and redundant pipework. Found the main runs on the landing and then ran new pipework in the cupboard and into the loft. Access to the gable end to install the flue collar was impossible with other structures outside, so it was time to try out the @talon.uk flue snug. It’s easy to install and saves a lot of time!! We’ve installed an @adey_pro system filter, two flushing points to enable a @thoroughflush on the system, a @ratechltd hotun tundish with a hotun detect, the condense was installed correctly using @condensate_pro_uk and the lagging finished with @plumb.pal lagging tool! 🛀 Bathroom remodel 🛀 This bathroom was a complete 🛀 Bathroom remodel 🛀 This bathroom was a complete overhaul, we had four seperate areas knocked into one. The seperate toilet, bathroom, hallway and airing cupboard were made into one big bathroom. Once ripped out we uncovered some issues that halted progress… the walls were just crumbling and it was going back to brickwork. We had to pull off site untill the plastering could be done and dry. We removed the existing cast iron soil pipe and installed a new anthracite plastic one to accommodate the new position of the toilet. We ran a new basin waste to the soil pipe and ran new waste pipes on the other side of the room for the bath and showers. First fixed hot colds and heating pipes for new locations. A lot of planning, thinking and scratching the head were done during the first fix stage.. we had to incorporate a concealed shower valve, a niche and grout lines had to line up with them all. All of that said it was worth it because the way it all works with no silly cuts, no silly grout lines is what the goal was. The height of the room was causing us some issues with the setting of the tiles we had 2500 and the tiles were 600 wide.. four of those and we have 2400 and a silly 100mm cut.. we worked out the best way to do it where there was no silly cuts to the floor, the ceiling or the window. As you can see from the photos it’s been a massive change to what they had. The big marble tiles, the nice floor tiles with a featured shower area and a blue backsplash… nice big vanity unit, freestanding bath and the brushed brass towel radiator. A lot of fine details have gone into the choosing of the stock and the final finish has come out greater than what the customer anticipated!..
